The Art Connections Foundation presents a new series of unusual events aimed at the residents of Bydgoszcz and all those interested: Festival of Records! The leitmotif of the Festival of Records will be CONNECTIONS - of people, ideas, tasks, sound, and technology. Connections that define community, not exclude.
Pierwszym wydarzeniem realizowanym w mieście, w sezonie letnim, będzie ustanowienie Rekordu Guinnessa w realizacji największej plenerowej instalacji, czyli Maszyny Rube Goldberga.
Instalacja ta to nic innego jak rozbudowana seria mechanizmów działających podobnie do zasady domina. Chcielibyśmy zainstalować ją w przestrzeni Starego Rynku oraz Wyspy Młyńskiej. Budowa ta jest instalacją ruchomą, aby rekord się powiódł „maszyna” musi pozostać w ruchu od startu (prawdopodobnie Stary Rynek) do mety (Wyspa Młyńska). To pierwsza tego typu instalacja tworzona w plenerze. Do zaprojektowania maszyny zaprosimy instytucje, firmy lokalne oraz te o ogólnopolskim zasięgu, które zaprojektują maszynę zgodnie z wszelkimi zasadami praw fizyki, co da nam gwarancję na powodzenie zakładanej misji.
The practical part - building the machine
To build the machine, we will invite all residents of Bydgoszcz, in particular: artists, athletes, community workers, activists, publicists, schools and universities, groups of people with disabilities and many others who want to join us in building the installation.
The record will be recorded using a set of cameras and a drone. The machine will be installed in the space so that everyone can come to the Island and directly observe the record-breaking. The event will also be available on a special app. The record-setting will be approved directly by a Guinness World Records judge brought in from the UK.
